Wonderland
Width: 1400 pixels
Z-area: medium
Parallax Scrolling: Yes
Animations: Yes
Dynamic effects: White Rabbits. Teacups.
The Little fighters went down the rabbit hole and found themselves in a world where they are truly little. Beware of the giant flamingo and don't get into the way of the White Rabbit: He doesn't stop for anyone for he is too late already. Keep an eye out for the sky to escape the teacup bombardement. All this under the watchful eye of a smoking caterpillar. Remember, we're all mad here.
So... This is my second background to date and quite obviously inspired by Alice in Wonderland. The starting point actually was the thought of a background that is suited for literal little fighters. I would have loved to add the cheshire cat, but I've only got 4 layers left, which I might need to tweak the animations a little.
C&C is very much appreciated.

Looks awesome so far!
I think it needs a rabbit running late.
And perhaps a mad tea party. No, not THAT one. Please not that one.
EDIT: And a cat with a grin! The sky's the limit, pack it with tons of lovingly-drawn references! (Preferably animated, so they each only come out some of the time)

OMG! Amazing! O.O
A BIG
This place motivates me to become an artist, this place motivates me to learn coding, this place made me grow up, showed me the ways to interact with people. Unlike the old childish of me myself, I've learned a lot and gotten some experiences. For me, it's not just a fan forum, it's a helpful community. From a noob to someone who would think before he speaks, looking back at my old post made me laugh hard, I'm grateful of the differences between these 2 years.

This one's looking pretty great so far, really good job!
My advise is just minor stuff here and there. For example, the side-view of the caterpillar makes it a bit less interesting to look at; especially because the worm faces away from the fight. It would look cooler if it was in a position similar to
Basically, looking at what's happening and, at the same time, smoking
Then, the ground. I think, it could get some nice additions by adding some elements in there. Leaves, sticks, pebbles, patches of moss, stuff like that. Just to have something that distracts from the emptiness.
Nothing particularly important that comes to my mind right now except for those two things. Just moar details. MOAR OF EVERYTHING!

This time based on the Tim Burton version rather than the original one.

Haha, that would be awesome as well. I'm afraid I don't know how to make it fit into this background, though. Maybe I'll make another wonderland-themed bg some other time :P

Right, I'll see what I can do. Haven't figured out how to make ground interesting without it looking weird, yet.

THOU SHALL GET MORE EVERYTHING!
Btw: I've replaced the tree with the flamingo. The eyes might be subject to change and he might get some sort of feathering, but for now I just wanted to get rid of that big, boring tree.
Oh, and of course the flamingo is going to blink :P

Don't know how to fit iit in? the mad hatter could poke his head out and push aside some of the grass, revealing a clearing with a... mad tea party!

Yeah, my issue with it is that I'd like to stay as true to the idea of "little" fighters as possible. The rabbit kind of works because he could have been shrunken as well, but the tea-party doesn't. Either way, I'll see whether I actually have any layers free at the end.
Just a little update: Resprited the caterpillar and tried to add some sort of moss-carpet (I don't know if that word actually exists in any language other than german :P) However, I haven't really figured out a good method, yet. Might have to experiment a bit.
Anyway, I'll have to sprite some stuff that can't be seen on the screenshot (In case you're wondering, the actual bg is 1400 pixels wide) so there probably won't be an update until sunday or so.
