Free games that can be played for a long time.
I'll share mine first, please share yours, I want some games . Link would also be appreciated. And remember: FREE games only . Not pirated ones etc.

OMG really? That's all the games on my laptop. I thought I play a bunch of games.
Alright, so please share the good games you know are free to play . And much preferably the ones that can be played for a long time. P.S. my favorite genre is fast paced puzzle game, and I never like fighting games. (come on, LF2 is NOT a fighting game!!!!).

omg I keep misdropping that L-piece (or is it the J one?) on faster level because of the bug which causes it not to spawn in the same orientation as seen in the preview :/ . But nice game . 2 years! Do you play any other version of tetris? There are bunch from slow to fast paced Tetris.

Ahh but I suck at creating fours XP , coz in C2 we try to clear lines one by one instead.

I recently started a list much like this in my notes file ^^ (I've trimmed it down a lot for this post)

• Tremulous (online FPS)
  
• Space Station 13 (online roleplaying (not RPG, roleplaying (think mafia)))
  
• Stranded 2 ("survival" (the quotation marks mean it's easy))
  
• Dwarf Fortress (low-level (i.e. detail-oriented) city building)
  
• Soldat (online 2D shooter)
  
• N (platform)
  
• Mu-cade (push the other snakes off the block before they push you off)
  
• Antigravittaatori (flying saucer (controls like a helicopter in thin atmosphere) racing)

LoL is NOT a strategy, but a MOBA. MOBAs are by now an etablished genre on their own, ntm they're more towards action then strategy (or rather 'tactical combat')

I can recommend SMITE. It's a new MOBA in 'closed' beta. (everyone can send out unlimited amounts of keys)
Hawken and MWO are interesting as well, though both have horrid hardware requirements.
Earlier I would have mentioned SMNC, but the devs ran it against a wall and now the playercount is too low to find suitable matches anymore.

I've tried others, but somehow this stuck with me. Whenever I play another version of tetris it just seems so unexciting and static (?) to play.

The original Cave Story is an action platformer game and it's free. And getting the best ending is hard!
