Or maybe make a new Battle thread where only five members may participate at a time, and each member must wait for all members to finish their post.

Something like, Shane, KarjamP, nbaheen, GalanDun, Squirrelblade (not a member, just random).
Then after all members have posted, the same members have to post again (in any order) and wait for every member to have a post.
If Shane hasn't posted, but the others have, they all have to wait until Shane posts. Something like that. :P

And each character has his/her individual story, and never meets with the others.
