How does this song sound?
#1
I'm trying to find a good song that represents something almost apocalyptic for LF2 Fanpai. How do you all think of this? It is called Stage Six since it will be the second half of Stage 5.
This is a slowed down version of Columns III- Scene of Carnage from Sonic Megamix. The original version felt too fast for LF2 imo.

If that doesn't work download it here:

I already know that four minutes of this will get tiresome, so changing tracks for bosses will do good to preserve this track. This will not be planned to be a selectable track in VS mode unless I learn how to add it in.
To live a life of power, you must have faith that what you believe is right, even if others tell you you're wrong.
The first thing you must do to live a life of power is to find courage. You must reach beyond the boundaries of time itself.
And to do that, all you need is the will to take that first step...
Ask not what others can do for you, but what you can do for others.

Hmm, my music taste is probably quite biased so my opinion might not be valid :p

Personally, I'm not particularly fond of it. I don't know, it just doesn't feel like it's fitting for LF2. However, something caught my eyes:

Can you be a little more specific about it? I'm not quite sure about what kind of event you're trying to underline here; is hell about to break loose (therefore, tense music with a dark undertone), is hell breaking loose (therefore, a dramatic, majestic, vile tune), or did hell break loose (which is being complemented by music indicating that all hope is lost)?

I know it's not suited for fighting. That's why it's for stage mode only.

Okay... Think of it as a future where everything has been destroyed. It is very chaotic with two opposing sides fighting for power: one from our time, and the other from the future which brought everybody in.

If that's a reply to me i don't see the logic :P
Even the Names of the Tracks are Stage 1, 2 and so on. So how should Stage Music not suit to fighting?
I guess you will create one of those awesome completely different Stages so it doesn't need to fit to the LF2 Music.

In my opinion this Stage 6 music sounds like Future only :P

A'ight, here are a few things that come to my mind:
DavidOrr - Dark Horizon & Final Encounter
(in general, he has quite a few great tracks that fit the theme: list)

MaestroRage
Rage of the Champions & When Gods War

ParagonX9
Chaoz Devotion & Chaoz Fantasy

Quite a few songs of these people ended up in my favorites-playlist, so, yet again, I'm slightly biased in my opinion :p
Also, I'd probably trash all original songs if you're going with a full-fledged mod. (waiting for your mod-edit, Don :p)

Stage mode is going to be like a story mode so I feel like I can have more leeway with the songs there. Instead of trying to give a competitive song, I can use one that feels like beat-em-up.

As much as I love Castle Crashers, it does not fit LF2 in any way. I think Final Encounter is the closest song you have listed that's closest to LF2 style. When Gods War is a good boss music. David Orr is probably my favorite out of the ones you showed me.

I will get rid of the old soundtrack. I already have an amazing menu music and a Julian boss song, but the rest I'm still looking into. It's not easy to find good songs for LF2 when you were so used to playing the game without music for a very long time.

Can you upload the other Songs so i know what kind of Music you're looking for?
I actually always play LF2 with the Music (unless someone switches Sound off in the Menu :'( )but that doesn't help me at all since you wanna take completely different music anyways ;)
