First and foremost, I'd like to announce a few overhauls that I felt had to be done to polish up a few things a little bit:
  • ATK now only represents your melee power. Nothing changes when attacking melee, but when using ranged weapons (bows, throwing weapons) your DEX will be your base damaging stat.
  • There is now no natural MP and HP regeneration anymore, that will now only work when resting (you may rest anywhere, but depending on your surroundings it will be more or less effective). To make up for that, the amount of healing and restoring items has been generally increased. (For example, you could try to search for healing herbs when outside in natural areas.)
  • As you may know, up to now, HIT Roll generally ranged from 0-20 and DMG Roll from 1-10. This will now be changed. For each 10 points of DEX/STR you posses, the maximum range of your HIT/DMG roll (respectively) is increased by 1. The critical hit range will be adjusted by percentage as well.
  • STR and INT damage multipliers have been overhauled, you'll do +1% of melee/spellcasting damage per 5 points of STR/INT (respectively).
  • With higher amounts of STR, DEX and INT, you'll receive STR/DEX/INT Modifiers. Those will help you mostly in succeeding in saving throws, lowering the threshold to do a successful roll. They may also come in handy in various other situations. Currently, every 10 points of STR/DEX/INT you'll receive 1 point towards your STR/DEX/INT Modifier (respectively). (For a good example, view #4: Status Effects.)
  • The Book of Knowledge now contains a new page, #8: FAQ / Other Random or Useful Information. This page will be continuously updated when new questions are asked about the game mechanics.

Due to some of the above changes some of your characters' stats were changed to better reflect the new system:
Drahcir: +10 STR
Bamboori: -10 ATK, learns Ranged Bow Proficiency (Level 1) and changed Double Arrow into Multiple Arrow (Level 1)
Blue Phoenix: +10 STR, changed Sneak Attack and Sneak Savage to have leveling up possibilities
Simon: +10 STR

And again, due to these changes to the stat system and everything, I'd like everybody to confirm how they spend their status/skill points.
Update will happen later today!

still INT and MP for me...

anyways, about those healing herbs... can they be used to brew potions? I'm a huge alchemy fan in all kind of rpgs, so you better have a well written system on your mind 'cuz I'm gonna abuse every single aspect of that one :D

And I'm still going to rest to regenerate some MP, I don't care what everyone else is doing ^^

yea sure, all wizards learn alchemy. although you're probably gonna have to wait til your next level for that ability :p

can we get a complete list with every stat point effect, please? I'm quite confused, because the first page post is pretty old, and I can't find any more information about the other stat points :(
maybe in the FAQ section?

anyway, ATK and DEX for now sounds the best? I was also thinking about AGI, but this stat seems pretty useless, compared with DEX or ATK f/e.
and I rest, too :)

EDIT: ATK and AGI. That is final!

First page info is still accurate except for DEX and AGI! But still, I'll include that in the FAQ

And once again, I would like to announce a little change to the AGI stat that should make it a little more useful than it has been. For that I'm introducing something called the "Battle Timeline", alongside the secondary "Timeline Value" stat for everybody (which is directly dependant from your AGI stat). Read the FAQ section of the BoK for more information on that!
tl;dr: For people with very high AGI, it may be possible that they in total do more actions than the other people in the same amount of time.

Finally, the status and stories go on!

Blue Phoenix, snorsorbet and Bamboori decide to search around the estate for valuables to take, while the rest attempts to rest and recover.

Slowly, the group approaches the main floor. They listen closely, but only hear raindrops pouring on the roof and against the large windows of the estate. It seems to be completely empty, but they remain cautious.
They first proceed to the upper floor and search around. Eventually, they come across 4 chambers with chests that they (using the Master Key) are able to open and loot. Finally they decide they've taken everything valuable from the upper floor and then make their way back to the stairs. But just as they reach them, they hear faint noises from outside the walls. Metallic walking noises, like an approaching army of metal.

Blue Phoenix: This isn't good. I think Jaden's returning. We should alarm the others!
snorsorbet: But we haven't searched the whole estate yet, maybe there's something valuable we've missed!
Bamboori: snors, don't forget that we're done for if he catches us.
Blue Phoenix: By the sound of it, they'll reach the front entrance pretty soon. We need a plan!

In the estate, your group finds the following items from the top floor chests:
Broadsword
Buckler
Katana (unidentified)
Ring (unidentified)

Map updated, take a look at it to judge your next moves. Note that all the others are resting and cannot do any action; they must be warned by the first group beforehand. Estimates say that Jaden will arrive at the estate entrance in less than a minute.
The other group's rest in a mildly uncomfortable surrounding for 12 minutes restored 20% of their maximum HP/MP values. Powernapping FTW!
