Something which might've been forgotten already (and hence I post it here) is LF2's own debug-mode. If you press "abc" together in-game, a series of numbers is displayed at the top left of the screen. Works best if you are p1.
Pro-tip: don't F2-pause in debug-mode as it'll crash the game
I am not sure what all of those numbers mean, so feel free to expand the list. It just seems the top line consists of the following:
some kind of x-value where 0 is at the high-point of an in-air-parabola and is symetrically around it. The values itself don't make that much sense to me, though.yeah, I'm stupid like that, it's the y-velocity. Thanks for pointing that out, A-MAN!
y above the ground: this is fairly obvious -- the higher the character is above the ground, the lower the value will be.
intval(y). Probably for display-purposes, the rounded value.

The first one is 100% the total y velocity of the object; It starts from a negative to 0 and back to positive then 0. The second one is the calculated y position, while the 3rd is a truncated integer version of the y-position.
I couldn't get the ones in the second and the third line to change at all though.

So I had this idea. The carpet in Forbidden Tower could lift and bulge whenever a strong attack needs to be emphasized.
This might even work ingame. Not sure, maybe somebody gets an idea from it:
Didn't really know in which thread to post it, so moderators feel free to move the post where it belongs.

imagine many powerful attacks shot at the same time. Carpet collide with carpet and then creates another carpet that colide with carper that collided with other carpets which are still colliding with carpet that was collided by many powerful attacks

remember, many powerful attacks shot at the same time. Not one or two. But many.
Also, jack attack creating powerful force that can suck carpet and raise it from the ground? what kind of power it would be?
edit: I also dont think that this is actualy cool stuff.

Idea sounds good but why would Lf2 need this?
That's made with a video editor.
Nobody would ever need this in lf2, just for giving people ideas, I don't know. I'm not trying to start a big project or anything with this.

So you wanted to know how it would look like if the "waves" on the carpet collide. I showed you in this video:Jack's in there just for fun, it doesn't matter what kind of character/attack is there, it's about how it would look like if the the waves in the carpet interact with each other. And they obviously hit each other a lot, moving randomly like that.
The third video is just joking, because you said that Jack's attack would be too weak to lift the carpet.
So am I misunderstanding something, or what exactly are we talking about?
