List of characters in the game

Please name if there's any characters you'd like to add to the mod!

Red = not started on
Blue = in progress
Green = finished

This is a concept list, it's not at all definate.

Original heroes:

Original Villains:

This may look a little bit depressing at this moment, but we'll surely start with the heroes when it's time to do so and they will take less time than the new custom characters.


New heroes:

I'd really love to see my character Nino fight in this mod as one of the heroes. He was originally intended to be part of the forum mod characters, but this mod was never released. Nino is mainly a combo character.

Sprites have to be updated to fit the style and quality, data has to be updated to really fit LF2 style and I can do better than I did at the time. There's like 3 moves that I'd delete and rather make something new for instead (one is a kick to the ground that causes a small explosion, another one is DJA which is basically a short melee combination but he already has 2 more of those x], and lastly, the super move is something I'd rather replace with something normal.

I can try to update the sprites myself, however Mono, Arcane and Ariel are all way better (and probably faster) spriters than me. I can make move concepts, but I think I should leave the real spriting to them  Therefor, it is up to them also if they feel like revamping or spriting something entirely new.

What do you guys think, is he worth the revamp or would you rather see completely new characters? 

Edit: we could also just make something similar to Nino, that's probably best

I would like to see more females

- Telekinetic power user (male)

New villains:
- Bounty Hunter (gives you support later) . I think he would be doing great. Looking for some kind of mask and get paid for it. (even villains must have their own story)

I made two very similar topics here... oops! (shouldn't try to organise stuff when I'm tired, I did it just before taking a nap  )

It's probably best to have the conversation here about which characters should be added, and use the other one to talk about which characters should be deleted. Sorry if it's confusing.

I added Rudolf and Henry to the list. Did you not put them on your list purpose Mono? 



Edit: lets also use this topic to discuss who is going to do what for the mod. Thereby I mean 1 or just a couple of things; don't claim every characters as yours to make  But that's logical I think. We can start creating very soon!

So name the character you'd like to make. Place one or more concepts in the "character concepts" topic to see if others like it as well. Also provide a 79x79px sprite. If we like the sprite, make a topic named [char]['character name'] and post your progress there.

It can be nice to add some little brothers of the main chars
Like for example
Deep younger brother
Might use some kind of a dagger and he wil look some thing close to deep
So for abilities
A new ice char instead if freeze
New fire guy same reason
Now 
2 new guys that will be fusing
Not the fire an d ice guys
Some thing new
We will need to get some creative idea for them
And 1 char the will be the fusion

This actually belongs in the other topic, what characters should be deleted (if any)... but I understand the confusion as I made two way too similar topics  


Not sure if I shared my opinion on this before or not... But deleting Firen and Freeze doesn't seem like a good idea to me. I actually like both quite a bit, and they fit in the mod pretty good. Besides, who knows: maybe Firzen can't be Firzen forever after fusing, it's just what your fantasy makes of it. 

I think we should leave them all in, even if they do not appear in the story, except if the characters are totally impopular (at this point, I think only Louis and Template really volunteer for the title 'totally impopular', and Template is the only character that I'd kick out for sure). If a character doesn't fit in the story mode and you'd still want him to be, we need to make that character fit in or make the story work for them (f.e. Jack/Monk). 

What do you guys think?

How do you feel about deleting characters anyway Mono? I know you voted for Louis to be kicked out, how about Rudolf and Henry, did you not put them on your list on purpose (meaning you want to kick them out)?


What I see now is:
- As far as people voted, everybody agrees on kicking out Louis (and eventually make LouisEX a main char);
- Template scores pretty good on the 'char to kick out' list, too;
- There appear to be more people against kicking Firen and Freeze, than people who agree on it;
- We have to agree on what to do with the minions, especially Jack/Monk/Jan

However, please go to the other thread to vote for the character(s) you want to have kicked from the mod (Ariel, Mono)

Make hunter squad led by Henry, not playable Henry (depends on count of id's)
Jan as a main character.
Make Mark as the main character and he would have his own gang, minions would be bandits. Let's use skull bandits sprites and skull Mark, bandits no playable.
Leave monk as a hidden id and lets make one more character as the main, he would be monk as well but little smaller (more like krillin)
Add Jack to main chars. That would make more space for others.

Let's delete knights, we dont need them anymore, lets make dead skelleton dudes with armors or helmets.
No more Justin. Kick him.

I don't know, character space isn't really a problem is it? So shouldn't we leave as many characters playable as possible?

Of course if all of you think kicking a bunch of characters is what we should do, we will. It's not just mine to decide.
