Agree. I like ideas about chasing ball, and frost breath. And if you combine these moves with somekind of simple, regular ball that everyone has that could be his moveset, with few more touches in DC.
He is a boss character though, so I think that at least 1 of these attacks should be rather big, it should be able to hit a multitude of enemies

I always wondered what AOE meant. I only now figured it stands for Area of Effect
Anyway, if we go for the ice tornado idea, we could make it shoot out some magical dust around it that freezes opponents as well. Increases the area of effect and makes it look more like magic instead of a wind move

It could be really cool. But must be corroborate with cool looking tornado and stuffs, spriters? I am not really good at them. or we could just use Freeze's? but i would like new one because that makes it better
how about making him spin up to the hair making a tornado around him that gets bigger the more he gets higher
and than whan it reaches it max hight the tornado stops and the wizard get down
without staying in the air spinning but just make the tornado while he get him self up and spin high
something like this:

Isn't he old, not much mobile, wizard? (correct me if i am wrong)
It would be ironic for him to spin really fast, wouldn't be?
but i like idea itself tho.
EDIT: Just realized you was talking about hair. I dont know what other thinks?
EDIT2: also i would like to see not chasing tornado more because as you can see Julian, and Firzen (main char) also has stiff, not chasing, main super power.

Not sure if we understand each other correctly, but a chasing tornado isn't a stiff move... it is a move that is spawned, like a spell. After releasing the tornado, the wizard can move freely again, so it isn't like Julian's/Firzen's explosion move at all.
I agree it shouldn't be put up the way Ariel described, because it doesn't fit an old, weakened man. It would fit for most characters, however.
This might give some inspiration as well:
2:06 : ice wall? A move like this could be great
11:15 : this character even has a tornado move, lol
