LFO Remaster?
#1
[]
A friend from Hong Kong messaged me on 21th of August 2022 about a remake of LFO.

Is there anyone here who possibly knows more about this?

Would seem ironic at best as Marti Wong is also remaking his LF2…

But Marti Wong didn't give any update since the beginning of 2022. Maybe he's involved on this?

According to Leviaiz from there on LF Empire’s Discord server, it’s highly probable to be a smartphone game. As he said: ‘U1 (what’s left of it) is glad to sell this IP to others’.

I sure do hope if it goes gacha they’ll eventually finally release it internationally…

So my Hongkonger friend sent me this yesterday, this is apparently sold brand new in box for 600 HKD.
‘I think it’s both a TCG and in‐game item. It has a scratch off area on a card and there’s a code on the card’, in his own words.

LF2 and / or LFO doesn't really strike me as the type of game that would have TCG.
I guess gacha would be fine though since it's now more normalized, I believe in the original version you actually had to go to a shop, buy a package and hope to pull a character, in a sense it was gacha but maybe it's also lootbox.

It's sad though if it becomes a mobile game, unless it has a PC cilent. I'm worried it'll just be a money grab thing. Unless they want to do two methods, either physical acquisition or in game drawing.

Maybe it's just nostalgia talking off my butt. I actually am curious about this game... it had potential but I'm not sure why they stopped updates suddenly.
