[solved] state: 3000 & state: 3005
#1
I've made some shield sequence for Justin, so that he blocks everything on that way.

It's actually working pretty well (I also once posted a problem with Rudolph's Invisible-cloak. That was also connected to this funky shield.)

The shield works like this:
  • There's an invisible object, that "recognizes" characters with itr/kind: 8, and opoints a Justin-Ball at the characters location.
  • There're five balls, that block thrown weapons and other attacks too (Since itr/kind: 8 only works with characters, and not with Balls & Weapons)
  • There's Justin. He's chilling on the ground.

The problem is, that these five balls HAVE to have state: 3000, otherwise there won't be any visible effect, if a ball hit's the shield. Unfortunately, state: 3000 has a shadow, which I really don't want to be visible.

Sooo... Any help here?
Oh and, please don't kill me if there's a similar thread already. I actually NEVER do forum-search.

uhh... block the shadow with justin's?
What? - Simoneon
whut do ya mean whut? its better than having the shadow, just his shadow is darker... just make some funky lights and thats your excuse for the shadow xD
as in- hide the shadow then adjust the centerz or change the bdys and itrs or whatever.

I personally think you should
A)Use the freaking 3005, and something that it could work like 3000, just without shadow (wut?).
B)Do some funky Hex. D:

Since, as far as I know, you can't make 3000 unvisible :/

Change the coordinates so the centerx of the ball is on the same spot as Justins centerx. Then the shadows will overlap > ergo it won't be THAT visible.
Btw, the hit effect is quite off (to high) either way ^^'

This would work actually quite good. But it's not just ONE ball, there are FIVE balls (because of z-axis-locating (?))

But still, thanks alot! You reminded me of something else. ;D

Why don't you just use state 3000 and change the location of "itr" for example 500 forward and centerx of the ball 500 backward?

@up: because he used facing: 50...
@topic: just opoint them seperately with wait: 0, and hide the shadow, change the itr and bdys, blablabla.

Thanks, Moer12! You solv'd the problem.
Since Justin is near the border of the level anyways, this method would work very well!

isn't firzen's ball id have "shadowless state: 3000" effect?
oh well, but i'd rather choose Alblaka's method, (maybe, i don't know so well) a ball will lost whenever it reaches the end of level
