Alright, folks. While the fat bird is busy stuffing himself with food, the duck frantically making toasts before he runs of of toasters to sling, the Mafia cat getting caught up with his dog counterparts in Sicily, MH still in psychotic euphoria land and Somin being too laid back to feel the emergency, I'm honoured to announce the 12th official contest of the LFE forums! *trumpets blaring*
An EXE Competition.

This contest is catered for users of all sorts because you don't even need to know how to sprite or data change. All you need is to visualise a cool skin for LF2.exe and start skinning away with ResHacker (=

The Rules:

1) Must use LF2 v2.0a
2) Need at least 5 screen shots (start, loading, mode selection, character selection, a VS mode scene)
3) EXE must be uploaded
4) No specific theme
5) HEX can be used, but not a must

Deadline: 30th August

Enough with the talking, go demonstrate your fairs in design and have fun!

I really hope I can come up with something for this... I would really like to try something new here. Though the 'no theme' is killing me. I am going to be so indecisive about that.

heh - i cant come up with anything now for any of the other screens. i failed to see all the implications of bypassing the lf2 interface and coding my own - the lf2 interface system does quite a lot of things you dont really think about and take for granted

i probably wont finish before the 20th but oh well - ill release it later as an example of how to fully edit the lf2 interface

Also, could we extend the deadline a little? Otherwise I won't have the chance to work on it again until the 20th.
Well, I've got something done, but up to now it is more of a recolour and I've got many ideas to tweak it a little. Lots of little details I'd like to add. Anyway, I just upload it and when I come back, I'll see. After all, I could release it after the contest as well.

Dunno how long he will take, but if he finishes it soon, i will recommend him to join here
