Just chec the tut section, it has an awesome amount of spriting tutorials.

@char:
The shading of his skin is nice. However, his right arm seems like a big chunk of wood, compared with his left ne. As well, shirts and pants need (more) shading.
And for being LF2 styled the head is somewhat to small. Though this is may just a fake impression because of the lacking hair ^^
