there's no problem in your drawing the things that inspire you. It's probably a good thing because you get more practise this way But as I said, I am not familiar with those subjects, so I am not in a position to give very useful comments.
For me, Kiba and the Assassin bloke looks pretty good, but ben's skinny frame and puffed up jeans certainly don't match.
The quick sketch has a couple of issues. Either the chin is not long enough or the neck is too long so it's makes the head have a detached feel which I don't think is intended. The second being the hands. The body language / the way the fingers are drawn kind of says "What should I do with my sausage fingers?"
