Why is it so scary though? I found it extremely boring. And yes, I did play it alone, with the only light coming from my monitor, wearing my headphones, in the middle of the night in dead silence(the same way I play all games nowdays 
).
Usually when I get scared in games is when I'm low on ammo and don't want to die, this doesn't happen. So really the only thing that has ever scared me in a game was removed from this one
