4. Each day the sheriff reveals innocent/mafia people, or stops certain lynchings, making that group even smaller. Not even the godfather can escape, as the checking will say "Citizien" and there are no more citiziens in this round :D
I think this is pretty neat. The only chance mafia has against this is if we kill the sheriff this day round. If the one that is gonna be lynched says he is the sheriff, then we don't kill him:
*If he's saying the truth, either nobody says anything or one mafia says he is the sheriff to confuse.
*If he's lying and he's a mafia, the real sheriff should appear, and we will have one liar.
If we choose right in the dayround, awesome. If we choose wrong and kill the sheriff, the vigilante kills the mafia guy. So I doubt mafia will appear and try to confuss us. In any case we lose the sheriff but mafia is reduced to just two right from the beggining. Or we may have a way around that without risking the sheriff, as long as we have two doctors and a trapper.
Not even the mafia vigilante can kill the sheriff that way, he is covered.
Or we do this and break the metagame :D
Edit: Not only that, even the insomniac can be of some utility, if he checks the sheriff room, he will get to know the doctors without revealing their identities.
