Good grasp of shading and detailing. Very well done for early on work, I am most impressed . The sprite itself is actually, fairly cool.
However, there are a few minor errors, which can be fixed at anypoint. His arm (outstretched - your right, his left) seems to be angled weirdly or bent at a different angle to humanly possible without sustaining a grave injury.
His bicep is slightly small, especially compared to a rather muscular tricep that you seem to have drawn (note on this point, make that tricep more angular/square and less rounded - gives the muscular appearance rather than flabby, also could make it end a little further up than the elbow). It needs a little lengthening. However it is in the right position for a straight on jab, or the first frame of a hook.
The lower part of the arm, elbow to hand seems to be at the wrong angle. It seems to horizontal, too side on to fit with the direction the rest of the arm faces. It needs or rather should have more of a 3/4 view on it, than that side view. Tiny bit more shading on the inside of the arm and glove, to give it that 3/4 appearance a bit more and it should be done.
All in all, not much to criticise, I'm VERY impressed. Well done.
Looking forward to more work, as Marshall said

One day, I shall become, TUTORIAL-MAN: Superhero of writing overly long, overly annoying tutorials which most people probably won't read, but will give it a stab at the first 5 lines!
