What is the system's goal ? To push members to help others by replying? to post good creations/projects/ideas? so that others give reps?
or it is a better way to thank people besides of replying "thanks", which is considered as spam. Unfortunately our giving thanks can be worthless if people are giving too many reps.
Believe reputation has positive purposes. At least, if people are not comparing someone to another member by their 'reputation' points, I'm not annoyed
. Just, if one's judgement on a member is affected with that 'reputation' points, I don't like it :P . It's about how people uses/sees the reputation system for me.
Besides, it might be unfair to some people who were interested in gathering reputation by answering others' questions or solving their problems if we just remove the system like that. That system is a facility, which we are not required to use, so I can't really agree to remove that.
