What I always thought is that the bouncing basically is a bdy in the lying frames and a corresponding itr. Soo... do you use some other technique?

you are right with what you are thinking - i'm not doing anything different
about the dvy: think about these:
hit lag, can you spot any? would it look good if the character shook while touching the ground? - this would happen in frame 180
does the bouncing character perform a normal falling arc/animation?
what itrs are there that do not create a hit lag? do those need dv values?

aka can you implement it on a single character rather than a mod?
