There was a problem about pet system: If there are more of same characters, it was getting buggy. For example another char could control the pet.
So Is it buggy too for two or more John's?
And what states are u talking about? Will you explain how you combined it with states?

i have not encountered the possible problems yet (and i have tried getting them)
the time frames where two johns can perform the spirit release in the exact same moment at the exact same spot are very small
and even if they are met the only thing that would happen is either getting one more chasing spirit per character or just one for both
which is not much of a problem because they vanish and reappear quite often and don't have much of an effect
with states i mean that john is capable of doing different things than usual

So, does the stage mode follow some (rough) storyline?

i would rather say no

Are there ordinary enemies in the stages as well (useless bandits for example), or is it just boss and minions?

i am just planning boss and minions but maybe there will be a few surprises

The road-stage doesn't look that good, I think the marking stripes destroy the perspective.
Also the guardrail doesn't fade into the darkness, unlike the road itself.

hmm i don't know why the stripes destroy the perspective - i can't have the road without them and they have the exact same perspective
also the rail does fade - maybe not enough

Why does the coliseum have no "borders" on its sides, like the normal VS background?

because the recording does not capture the whole window

Will you add more of these background-connections? (Like the broken highway in the forrest, for example)

I think it would really help to blend the substages together if you'd add road signs, or even the skyscrapers in the distance in the beginning of 2-1.

i have already tried and failed many times
i will try again but the first release might have to go without them

it was too easy - and it wont be getting any harder in the future with all those chars already gone - will have to think of something else
