to photoshop lagging.. wouldn't more ram already solve that problem?
if i recall correctly win7 has an make-external-ram-out-of-usb-stick-feature-and-i-call-it-so-because-i-can't-remember-the-thingy-anymore-thing
worked wonders with photoshop for my old laptop, might give it a shoot if your desperate.

Well, my laptop-mainboard supports only 2 gigs RAM (which I have already installed). This, together with a single-core 1.7GHz-CPU and a 5400rpm-HD don't really let me do lag-free stuff
Hmm, as long as I don't use brushes larger than 90px or so, it works almost instantaneously, as long as I set the process-priority of PS to "Higher than normal".

Anyways, I'll give it a go, we'll see how that works out (although I'm critical, seeing that USB 2.0 is quite limiting in terms of data I/O)
