#2 i knew it was EMPIE, s'why my answer was 14789653 (the missing R).
#3 should've looked harder. found the pic and chose #5 without much thought (i did try a fill black with 0% tolerance on the background, mind you). now i see it
#4 silly me. i actually did try look at the colour pallette, but i was thinking the wrong way. first thought when i saw the image -> i think it's a gif, so 256 colours, using an indexed colour pallette. the Fs must be how the colours are arranged in the pallette. nope. then tried to fit Fs into the letters + spaces (and eliminated the possibility of ones that were "vague").
really enjoyed solving them
