As long as it is possible for you, you should ask for their permission. Shouldn't bee to hard to reach YinYin and Az, though :P
I don't know about the others because I myself don't really know them / have never heard of them. Try looking in the officials, maybe they're there. If not, well, the really formal way would be to search for them on google and try to contact them via email, shoutbox of their own website, etc. But I assume, since they'd be happy about a bit more popularity among the LF2 community, if you take their chars and smash their name into the readme aka. give credits.gif ";)")
