I don't understand how you guys argue, it's always something like this:
"Gaara controls sand, Crocodile is sand; thus he must be weaker."

I mean I know about both animes equally nothing, but I've never seen Gaara "kill" his own sand. How would that work?
Crocodile clearly the better one here.

I should have known that you would appear and make a stand for everyone who does know nothing about those animes/mangas.
So here goes my response, how I think Gaara can win:
He can control the sand that is Crocodile into a sea or just alot of water, then crocodile drowns.
How does this work? I have to get a bit nerdy on that:
In the One Piece world there are devil fruits, which give you a certain power like being the sand itself, or fire or lightning etc. but make you unable to swim AND make you like an anchor in the water, you drown fast and can't do anything about it. That is the reason why Gaara will win, he can control the sand, so crocodile would have to fight him in his human form and would not be able to use most of his attacks.
Second Reason why i believe Gaara will win is the fact that he gets protected by his motherly love (which is in the form of the sand), we don't quite know how this works, its kinda like magic in a world where magic doesn't really exist, but because of this I doubt that any form of sand would be able to attack Gaara.

Don't get me wrong, I like both animes, and like both characters to a certain degree, so I am not a fanboy of any to be honest.
