This one got already enough votes, I think it should have another battle, more interedting, not sand master and sand. Imagine water guy who is fighting water master.

Look for urself, there was one piece, bleach, rurouni kenshin, even dbz at that time.
Why short were better? Because some short animes has better plot, no extended things like repeating same sh*t with different characters.
Example, why fma? Its cool, has cool story, characters design, people using alchemy and looking for red stone, its amazing, like making someone dreams come true.
And also, naruto has way too much drama as this thread or this gaara vs croco guy.
