MS Paint fails at working with transparent images and displays transparency as black. Pretty sure that if you'll open it in any other graphics editing program (GIMP, Paint.Net, PhotoFiltre, Photoshop, etc.), you'll get a checkerboard pattern.
When I tested it, I got an option to set the background-color in the export-settings. Either look for it there or just post-work black in there
