Whoa now that you mention it it does look like you described it, perhaps I could chang the color tone of the raven so would not look like a part of the hait

Not sure if that will help too much - might just make it look like that part is dyed hair. I think you would be better off changing the shape of the bird. Right now it sits very unbalanced with the feet/hand connection being too far at the front. And its generally sleek look and longer neck make it look like a cormorant.
