Chasing on the x and z-axis, but not on y-axis

Would it be possible to create a ball that has a set Y value and a chasing effect on the z-axis and x-axis?

Edit: this could be done with dvy: 550 of course, but this is not what I want. The ball is moving down, coming from the sky, so the dvy is set
