Only thing I'm not sure about yet is whether it should be 7 masks in total... I ask myself if this amount would be too much or if its perfectly fine ^^
Cool! So that's 3 out of 5 people who like it. So I guess that if Rhino.Freak and Mono like the idea as well, we got ourselves a theme^^
I totally agree with you on the masks; I personally think 5, max 6 would be perfect. We should think of a complete story, with all the bosses etc. For example:
- Stage 1: a simple stage meant to introduce the new good guys;
- Stage 2: flashback, new story begins. Bg: Icy mountain. You fight against the magician in stage 2-5. Then a few substages after this (5-8), you fight against Julian. In the end, the magician of the mountain helps you finish Julian off. The little fighters have 2 masks now (1 from the ice and 1 from Julian);
- Stage 3: the magician has given you the information on the other masks. Your quest continues and you move into a dark forest with a big moon (bg). In stage 3-5, a new enemy appears: it's the general, who's also after the mask (mentioned him in the first long post on the 4th page of this topic). He's strong, but fairly easily defeated. It is important that he mentions his boss in the dialogue of this stage. You find the 3th mask in stage 5-8 or something. A big creature (maybe an orc-like dog or werewolf) is guarding the mask. You beat him and you can go on to the next stage;
- Stage 4: the little fighters continue their quest for the masks. However, they can not find the 4th mask, even though the magician said it had to be exactly where they were looking! While in this stage, a mysterious character steals their masks! Could be a ninja or some character with teleportation skills maybe, or another villain. Gosh, they must feel bad. Stage boss: unspecified. Bg: unspecified
- Stage 5: stage 5-3 boss: the general (with the 4th mask on). Stage 5-8 boss: the main villain. Stage 5-9: the general, who is almost as strong as the main villain now that he has a mask, moves to steal the main villain's mask and runs away with it. He brings the masks together to become the ultimate villain and kills his boss. You now have to fight the general, who has become about twice as strong as Julian.
(^ the thing above is just an example of how the story could be, so it's not a real proposal. We could do it like this if you guys like it though)
