Sounds fading out naturally is best, true that. But how much do fighting screams need to fade? You let them fade and they sound weak. I was talking about the possibility of having a variety of options for the sound user. Linear fadeout sounds unnatural, but it's better than losing the rather natural cut in breath sound at the end of the recording.
It depends from a sound to a sound of course. A Kamehameha scream would better have the fade naturally in it for instance.
