I'm not sure if I understand it correctly. Do you mean 1st form: #3, 2nd form: #2, 3th form: #1?

Consider that making him 'grow bigger' with each transformation implies subtle but precise changes in every sprite, everytime he changes size...

So you'll end up reworking +140 sprites, twice, for something that will probably go unnoticed when playing.

Smart thinking. Definately something to consider.

Most of us also seem to like a change in haircolor from either red to brown, or brown to red.
