I appreciate your discussion very much. Here are my thoughts. First, STOP thinking about exe. We are in an era which there are many computing platforms other than Windows. We need a cross platform application for everyone to enjoy the great gaming experience. Second, hex editing or assembly programming has its limitation and difficulties. The community needs an open source codebase to develop new features up on.
Project F is basically my attempt to the above addresses. I have personally worked on it for more than three years, even though it is not yet completed, it is promising for all. Learn more in the following thread
