These two characters.
Rio and Hideyoshi

Rio - was intended/ to be a Ryu from SF. Atleast with his fighting type or design but his personality differs. Even if he looks like him, acts like a good guy, he is still more of a popular guy or more of the ladies man and not a looner like Ryu.

Hideyoshi - street fighter who get's into a street thug life by trying to get his friend out of it. He is 2 years older than Rio.

How do they meet each other?
One evening Hideyoshi is having a conflict with some street thugs nearby Rio's house (what a coincidence). Rio comes outside to check out what's happening and yara yara. They almost get's into fight because of the disagreement but because of police they must separate. At that time they just think about one another just as a strangers but later they get into a real fight. Rio takes upperhand because he have more experience in fighting, he is karate. Hideyoshi gets angry because he is loosing to a random guy which popped out of nowhere. After that match, Hideyoshi thinks of Rio as the rival and so as Rio but since Rio kicked Hideyoshi's a**, he looks down on him or does not take him seriously. Also in the further story there might be involved a love triangle which makes them fight (2 guys 1 girl)

None of them are the real badguys but the way they try to accomplish their goals differs.

They were not designed at the same time and just for that event when they meet. Hideyoshi was designed just to be a street fighter and Rio later was made into a karate wannabe Ryu guy. Later in my story they came to the same place.
