I don't like the idea of a moustache on LF2 characters either, yet it could fit Louis. But I think without one is better indeed

i thought because it shows sign of maturity, wisdom and age which is characteristic for kings (like king Vegeta).. it's not all about esthetic.
Since Louis wears cape he seems like some kind of king to me, especially because this is evolution of original chars so it means years have past since lf2. He grew

To me louis is more like a prince or from a royal family .. something like that.
