RaMafia - Prologue
~written by Blue Phoenix
New Haven. Based on their previous experiences, it seemed logical as a name for their town. Founded far away from their original homes to escape the atrocities committed overseas. In these dark times, many have lost friends or entire families. Restless and unerring, one after the other disappeared, only to shortly after come back, mutilated to death in the most gruesome ways possible. The war against the Mafia would never cease. Not at their so familiar homesteads.
Seventeen were capable of escaping. United by their common fear, they overcame any sort of barrier and settled here. Although their traumatic background certainly evoked suspicion amongst them, they reached a peaceful coexistence. How long would this last, though?
The situation quickly deteriorated with the arrival of a new face. Cautious affections made way to skepticism betwixt the citizens. It was just a matter of time until the powder keg would explode.
With dusk breaking the light of the day, the lifeless body of a settler was discovered, placed atop a makeshift townhall and glimmering in the evening sun. A small trickle of blood was running down the roof and dripping into an adjacent rose bush, covering its pink petals with a deep red.
Something was on the way. And it would start tonight.
A few more notes everybody should read:
Everybody that can use a night ability must send me a PM in Night phases, either using their ability or telling me they won't use any ability.
When you send in an ability PM, please include your Role Name AND the current phase (Night 1, Day 3 etc.) in the PM title. You will find the name of the current phase in the latest RaMafia game master story post.
Optimally, it will look like this: "Trapper - Night 2"
Regarding Mafia kill: Additionally to whether using a night ability or not, a majority of you must also include one single target (the same target) for your standard night-kill. It is also important to know that your decision is final - once you send in a target name, you will not be able to change it. There's no hurry though, so take your time planning your kill.
Mafia is allowed to attack themselves for whatever reasons.
Any more questions about your roles, contact me. If something's unclear, don't hesitate to ask.
Night 0 has commenced!
Provisional deadline: Friday, January 29th, 10pm GMT
(This first deadline is intentionally very lenient, as to let everybody mentally get used to their role. Of course, if all PMs come in earlier, the update will be earlier!
