it does not make a lot of sense to me that I cannot target col1, I guess it's for nerfing purposes?
maybe it would be okay to change that to minimal and maximal col distance?

Careful, you cannot target row 1 with Marksmanship. Incidentally, the whole game itself doesn't make much "sense", so don't try seeing this from a realistic standpoint. In row 2 for instance you could also use your basic attack if there are unreachable enemies. And each class is supposed to play a different strategical role, you're good in targeting their back rows.
