What do you mean "none"? It can't be none unless your computer works with no display. Go Start->Run "dxdiag" -> "Graphics" or something tab to see your GPU type and some of its parameters.
You said you can run LF2 1.9 and 2.0 without any problems. So I understand that LF2 2.0a doesn't work for you. You said it throws a "Couldn't create art surface for davis_5.bmp" error, but LF2 doesn't come with a davis_5.bmp. So is it really LF2 2.0a that's not working, or is it a mod? If it's a mod, then what is it called if it's known? If it isn't a mod, then are you sure it threw that error message and not another?
Personally, I suspect it's what empirefantasy says, in which case I would blame it on the mod you're trying to play. In many cases where I faced that problem, the A-Grid Clipper (click to go to thread) could help out.
