G4F Chronicles II: The LF Empire (Season Two)
#86
I'm sorry for the long wait but the internet is now WORKING!!! And without any further ado, I give you the G4F Chronicles

DOUBLE FEATURE!!!

Chapter Thirteen

The G4Forian ruler fell from the skies to the grounds below, right in front of the paralyzed Red Stickman. Zabobula could not move a muscle, or even blink. He wasn’t expecting this to happen. Robo’s body remained motionless as did the Stickman’s.
Swiping the blood off of his sword, Sonidow stared down at the immobile being of Zabobula’s. He was somewhat surprised at Zabobula’s reaction to the downed Robo.
“What’s the matter, Stickman?” Sonidow smirked. “Shocked that I got to kill him before you did?”
Zabobula gritted his teeth and tightened his fists until the veins became visible.
Sonidow was still mystified at Zabobula’s reaction. He began analyzing the situation deeply and realized something.
“So I see,” Sonidow said. “You were in league with him. You weren’t planning on killing him at all were you?”
Zabobula knew it to be the truth and it was written all over his face now.
“I knew about your plans along time ago,” Sonidow began, “Your precious A.D. cannot hold me.”
The letters “A.D.” caught Zabobula’s attention and he glanced at Sonidow who loomed over him. The Dark Hunter’s figure overlapped the waxing gibbous of the moon behind him. His blood red eyes gained emphasis as the Stickman continued to stare at him.
“So what will you do now?” Sonidow said. “You cannot defeat me and you cannot lock me away in that realm now that Robo is dead.”

Cirno, Silva, and a handful of soldiers went underground to the safe zone where the people of the Empire were hiding. Everyone was happy to see the Imperial General’s face.
“Everyone listen!” Cirno began silencing the crowd with a hand gesture. “The castle is no longer a safe area. I am in charge of evacuating you all from here and moving to Ancuril.”
Everyone began chatting loudly. Cirno pointed to Silva who stood by the underground path door. “Everyone, and form a line and go through the underground pathway where Silva is located.”
Cirno walked to Silva. “Where are Zanshin and the other reinforcements from Stageland?”
“Regretful to say,” Silva began, “They stayed behind to fight.”

Marshall’s party intercepted the enemy from the left of the South Wall. Lauli and Zanshin came through the front as reinforcements. The Empire’s soldiers regrouped and began repelling the enemy forces still coming in.
“There’s not much of them now,” Lauli said. “We can still win this battle.”
“I have a bad feeling about this,” Zanshin said. “We may win here, but what about the castle?”
“What do you mean?” Lauli asked.
“I don’t know,” Zanshin began. “Maybe it’s just me.”
“Let’s just get as much out of this fight as we can.” Lauli said.
“Yeah,” Zanshin replied drawing his Zanbato.
The two rushed into the battle and began slaying enemy soldiers left and right.

Paddy’s Exorcism Magic wore off and they were still trapped behind enemy lines.
“Pad!” Alec cried out. “What the Hell?”
“I ran out of energy to fast,” Paddy replied. “My power will only go as far as my stamina is willing to take me.”
“Let’s not complain here!” Dome said fending off incoming soldiers from their rear. “We’re not that far from the castle wall. Right?”
“Not exactly,” Handertaker said blocking incoming arrows. “But it seems we are getting some reinforcements.”
Lauli smashed through a cluster of Dark Rebellion soldiers to join the four in need.
“Ah, it’s me old pal, Lauli,” Paddy said. “What took you so long?”
“I was busy,” Lauli said standing by Paddy’s side. “I don’t need to give an excuse. By the looks of things around here, you didn’t need my help.”
“Who said I needed your help?” Paddy questioned.
“Let’s deal with the questions afterwards guys,” Dome said.

Lukas and Noir began going at it, heatedly. They way they fought made it hard to tell, for anyone, who was on the offensive. Lukas sent a combo of three Noir’s way. Noir blocked everyone and countered with a combination of his own. Lukas blocked the first two but the third connected sending him into another tree. (This one didn’t break)
“Fighting you is becoming very frustrating,” Lukas rose up wiping a small trickle of blood off the right side of his bottom lip.
“Well you could quit now to save the headache you have coming your way,” Noir remarked.
Lukas chuckled slightly. “I appreciate the concern, but it’ll take more than a headache to make me quit anything.”
“Then don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Noir said assuming combat position.
Lukas smirked and ran back at Noir. The two continued fighting each other as the other looked on.
Fice was burning up inside. He was itching to get into the fight. But a stern look from Snorbet and Sir Frog prevented him from acting.

“Have you thought of anything yet?”
Blue-Phoenix paced back and forth on the cliff trying to come up with a solution for the current situation. “Not yet I’m afraid.”
“Sonidow has to have a weakness,” Drahcir noted.
“As much as I would like to agree with you,” Blue began, “No, no he doesn’t.”
Drahcir looked the other way. The image of his brother burned in his head and Blue noticed the painful look on his face.
“Sorry to say but its true,” Blue said. “You have a better chance at locking him away in some other realm of existence than actually defeating him in combat.”

“And that, is our solution.”

Blue-Phoenix and Drahcir turned to see an unknown person walking their way.
“Who are you?” Blue asked.
“Haywire,” the man answered. “A former member of G4F and one of Robo’s subordinates.”
“What do you want?” Drahcir said.
“To end this battle,” Haywire said. “Sonidow cannot be defeated in combat, so locking him away in another realm is the only means to an end.”
“And you know how to do this?” Blue asked.
“Yes,” Haywire said.

Sonidow began radiating in purple electricity. His red eyes began glowing brighter as each second passed. His blade also began radiating with the electricity flowing through his body.
“Well Stickman,” Sonidow began, “I believe you are aware of my other side.”
Zabobula glared at the glowing hunter.
“How’s about I re-introduced you to…,” Sonidow said with his voice rising.
The bolts of electricity became larger and larger until they began flowing off of Sonidow’s body. And in one loud burst, Sonidow yelled exhuming bolts of lightning from his body. Zabobula ran for cover as the large bolts of lightning began striking random places all over the castle.
Sonidow’s muscle structure became someone larger and electricity began swirling around his blade. The Red Stickman got from under cover and looked at the extensive damage the bolts of lightning caused. The secondary building was completely destroyed and the main building had fallen. The Red Stickman could not believe that his transformation caused so much damage. The Dark Hunter glared at Zabobula with his crimson red eyes and said two words:
“Evil Sonidow.”

Chapter Fourteen

The Red Stickman came back into Sonidow’s sight. Zabobula looked at him with fear in his eyes. His second stage contained more power than he remembered. He had lost much of his power from the first time they fought, and now he wondered if he could even defeat him.
“So…Zab,” Sonidow said, “What will you do now?”
“It seems that you’ve gotten a lot stronger in your second form,” Zabobula said averting from the question. “This is an improvement from the last time we fought.”
“Improvement?” Sonidow repeated. “Let me shed some light on you, Stickman, you did not fight Evil Sonidow last time.”
Zabobula was dumbstruck.
“I’m surprised you didn’t realize that,” Evil Sonidow replied. “But it’s a little too late for that now isn’t it?”
“So you were holding back this whole time.” Zabobula said.
“It’s a shame,” Evil Sonidow began, “You thought you and I were on equal footing but now you know how weak and insignificant you are!”
The Dark Hunter’s words began tormenting the Red Stickman’s mind. They were eating away at him. Now he began doubting if he could actually defeat him.
“What am I going to do?” The Stickman thought to himself, “Last time we fought thought I was sure we were on equal footing. Can I really have become this weak? Or is it that he truly was this strong?”
Evil Sonidow smirked as noticed Zabobula’s emotions spiraling out of control. “Since you have neglected to answer my question…”
Zabobula looked back up as Evil Sonidow continued, “…I will have to answer for you.”
The Red Stickman began tensing as the Dark Hunter rose his blade up in the air with the violet electrical currents surging in and out of it.
“What you will do, Zabobula, is,” Evil Sonidow began, “DIE!!!”

Three men stood above on the Great Wall overlooking the landscape to the east.
“Why did Zanshin want us to remain here on the Great Wall?”
“Because he said they were coming.”
“Who were coming?”
“The Undead Alliance.”
“What? How?” I thought they were destroyed?”
“The Undead Alliance controls more than what you’d see on a map, my friend.”
“That still doesn’t answer my question.”
“Zanshin left us here as spotters. Someone told him that a massive army, way larger than the one that invaded the castle would be coming this way. If they come, then we must leave to the castle and alert the Empire.”
“And who will be the one to run all the way to the castle to alert them?”
“Phil, of course. You forget how fast he is as a runner.”
“And what are we to do? Sit here and wait for them to kill us?”
“Of course not my inquisitive friend.”

~

Lukas dealt Noir a swift and powerful kick into the chest which sent him flying into a large assortment of boulders near a brook. He was caught off-guard and began noticing a change in Lukas’s strength.
“What’s this?” Noir thought. “How is he getting stronger? This fight should have been over ages ago.”
“I can see the puzzlement in your eyes,” Lukas said. “You’re wondering why I am not down and out. There’s a reason why I am your replacement, Kadaj. The simple fact is that I am a better fighter than you.”
KadajNoir almost chuckled at Lukas’s boast. “You may have some skill but it’s going to take more than a kick to say that you’re better than me.”
“Then I will give you more than a kick,” Lukas said smiling as he went back into his combat position. “Prepare yourself.”

Fice could not contain himself anymore. He sprung into action creating a large ball of ice and fire and threw it at the two cloaked Dark Rebellion members. They did not move and took the blast head on.
“What the Hell?!” Snorbet yelled out. “What are you doing?”
Fice ignored Snorbet’s screech and threw several more ice and fire balls at the two figures. As the smoke cleared he noticed something that shocked him beyond belief.
“They are just cloaks!” Snorbet said wide-eyed.
“Just cloths on a stick!” Fice snarled. “Son of a…”
“Perhaps we should use this time to leave to the castle,” Snorbet interrupted.
“What about Noir?” Fice asked.
“Have you noticed?” Snorbet began. “The guy can handle himself you know.”
“Right,” Fice said. “Let’s go then.”
“Come along Sir Frog,” Snorbet signaled to the armored amphibian.
Sir Frog croaked in approval and the three took off back to the Empire’s castle.

~

“So you can create this other realm of existence?” Blue-Phoenix asked as he walked up to Haywire.
“Yes I can,” Haywire answered. “But I will need all of you for this. This will not be an easy task.”
“Anything to get my hands on that fiend, Sonidow!” Drahcir said holding up his fist to his face. “He will pay for the death of my brother.”
“Alright then,” Haywire began, “We all want this strife to end. This truly is the only chance we have. Robo and I, along with other members G4F and LFE alike, have been planning this for the longest. Now come with me and let us end this war.”

~

At the same time, in different areas, two Imperial Generals got a sudden jolt of pain in their abdomens. Cirno and Marshall both experienced a rush of pain in the stomachs and were forced to go back into the castle. They began talking to each other telepathically.
“Marshall, you feel it as well?”
“Yes I do. He’s changed. This is not good.”
“Evacuations are still going on down here. Silva and STM will stay here and help with evacuations. I’m on my way up.”
“I’m on my way in. Don will stay in charge. Sinow, and King’s groups are coming from the east and north walls.”
“Good. I hope it hasn’t begun yet.”
“Let us all hope it hasn’t begun yet.”

~

Paddy and Lauli unleashed a fury of heavy attacks upon the quickly depleting army, tearing through their forces as they made their way back to the south wall. Zanshin’s Zanbato carved through enemies like knives through butter. Alec, Dome, and Handertaker mowed down anyone who were missed, which was not much because the frontrunners didn’t leave much of anyone behind.
“I know we practically have this battle won,” Alec began, “But can you please let us get some more licks in before this all ends?”
“I would,” Paddy began, thrusting his golden blades into a nearby victim, “if I weren’t a battle-hungry maniac, which I am, so…um…yeah…sorry.”
“Jeez,” Alec snorted, “how am I supposed to get better if you all kill everyone?”
“You just gotta learn to get better,” Lauli said smashing his fists into a nearby target.
“What kinda answer is that?” Alec replied.
“The only answer you need,” Zanshin said.
“Stop complaining Alec,” Dome said, “This’ll all be over soon so there won’t be any need…”
“It’s not over, Dome,” Zanshin interrupted, “This battle was just a foreshadowing for more things to come.”
“How do you know?” Handertaker asked.
“Because he is here,” Lauli answered.
“Who?” Alec asked.
Zanshin was almost afraid to say the words, “The Dark Hunter.”

~

Evil Sonidow charged electrical power into his sword and flashed it out with a deep swipe, sending it in the Red Stickman’s direction. Zabobula leapt out of the crosshairs as the large blast of pure electrical energy smashed into the ground and generated a massive explosion. Zabobula landed in a safe area only to find Evil Sonidow waiting for him below!
The Dark Hunter smirked and dealt the Stickman a heavy kick to the stomach area which sent him flying in the air. Instantly, Evil Sonidow flashed through the air and smashed the blunt side of his electrically charged sword into the Stickman’s chest. The Stickman was yet again sent flying through the air. He crashed into what was left of the main building. Evil Sonidow would not stop there. He raised his sword high in the air and a large dark cloud spawned above the castle. And within moments, the castle was rained down upon with heavy bolts of lighting all crashing inside the castle. The Stickman’s cries of pain and agony could be heard from miles. Evil Sonidow laughed maniacally as he ceased the assault of the purple bolts of lightning.
Marshall and Cirno both arrived on the scene at the same time. They both looked above at the Dark Hunter looming in the skies. Evil Sonidow’s smile turned into a frown as he saw the two Imperial Generals staring at him from below.
“What do you two want?” he asked glaring furiously with his red dilated eyes.
“For you to stop this,” Marshall said. “This has gone on long enough, Sonidow.”
“I will decide how long this goes,” Evil Sonidow began.
“You don’t know what you’re doing!” Cirno added. “The power you are using is too dangerous! Stop this now!”
“And what do you plan on doing if I choose not?” Evil Sonidow asked with another smirk etching on his face.
Marshall took a couple steps forward. “Then we will stop you.”
Evil Sonidow smirk turned into heavy laughter. “It’s going to take more than you two to stop me.”
“Than add me as well.”
Everyone turned to see MH standing behind them.
“And us.”
Blue-Phoenix, Haywire, and Drahcir also came to the scene.
A large explosion occurred in the main building’s debris. Everyone was surprised to see the Red Stickman rise up. Zabobula stared at Evil Sonidow with newfound valor and yet anger.
Evil Sonidow stopped laughing but continued to smirk. “Fine, I’ll take all comers. You will try and all of you will fail!”
The Red Stickman walked over to Robo’s fallen body and put his hand over it. His hand began glowing with red energy and after a moments pass, he took his hand away from Robo’s motionless cadaver. The Red Stickman stood back up still looking down at the body. Zabobula smiled slightly as he saw Robo’s eyes slowly lift up.

Scorpion was heading through the woods in Stageland. He began pausing every other moment as he began hearing unusual sounds. The former commander of the 100 Garrison Unit hastened his pace as he began sprinting through the woods. But he suddenly paused as a small rectangular object flashed past his face and thudded into the trunk of a tree not far from him. He walked up to the object and snatched it out of the tree trunk. The rectangular entity was revealed to be a playing card and, all of a sudden, it began flashing red.
“I didn’t forget about you.”
The words uttered through the forest and Scorpion began spinning around in a panic as he looked for the culprit who threw the card at him. The card he was holding suddenly became excruciatingly hot and he was forced to stop holding it and threw it to the ground. It’s red glow began flashing faster and faster until, out of nowhere, it exploded!
Scorpion’s body was blasted through the woods and he smashed into a tree. His entire body was incinerated. He was able to see his killer and with his last breath he uttered his name.
“Azriel…”
Escape is a two-syllable word that grants temporary peace in the present to a future victim.
