I still prefer the star/diamond system or perhaps just a checklist that says
ask this member about: [......]

Or even easier (than that checklist), add some symbols with a hover-text. Like, when you hover over your adv-dcer-thingy it says Advanced DCer. I think, it shouldn't be that hard to make one little symbol and add as a hover-text: "Ask this member about thisandthis" (or, in short, "Specialized in thisandthis")
