second: use zero placer method (browse mainsite / advanced dc / stage), after the zero placer activate an object at x: 600 and move it around with the hit_j of type 3 a bit...
if you don't know about all of this I recommend you start at some basic tutorials
the first: it's possible, but I'll only give you a rough explanation: the char which should stay alive need to have a bdy at y: 1000, then activate a hidden t3-file (state 3005 / pic: 1000) in the stage which have a itr/kind 8 on y: 1000 (global, so zwidth: 500 and a large w!). For example this t3-object is frame number 100, then the dvx from ik8 link back to 100, the wait in this frame is 10, if there's no char anymore the wait will work - and the next, which go to another frame with state 18 and a global itr on zero-level which kill everybody in stage - you lost
