LF - Davis' reign of chaos

[Reaper]

well, as I sometimes get bored by spriting, I started to write an own story( did the first 4 chapters + prologue, but I won't post all of them at once.)
Ok, my first try on an own story.
Could be sometimes a bit weird as I'm not English, but I'll try my best.
I also started this as a GIF, but after the first 193 pictures I realized, that it's too much work. And I wasn't very good.
However I'll post some short extracts.

Prologue:
After the Little Fighters defeated Julian, everybody lived in peace.

All the slaves of Julian returned to their homes, bandits and hunters played baseball in the forest and there wasn't any trouble anymore.

Until now!
One night in the forbidden castle. Candles threw the only lights sporadically on the walls when a deep shadow approached Julian's dead body. Two scary blue eyes in a dark cape looked down to the body. „Well Julian, didn't I said to you that I'll get everyone, sooner or later? Now it's time for you to leave this world.“ said the reaper. He took his scythe and let it fall down. Suddenly the body vanished into air. „What....“, started the reaper.
Davis came out of the shadows, his eyes burning with a cold flame.“You are not going to take Julian with you. I need his power to reign over the world like he wanted to. You can't do anything against it. You can't kill a living person.
Nobody can do anything against it. I'm invincible.“
Davis moved his hand and Justins came out of the ground.“Nobody can stop me now. Even you not.“
The reaper came nearer and nearer looking him into straight into the eye.
„You are maybe invincible for this day, maybe for tomorrow. But I tell you, no one takes away a dead soul from me. Sooner or later you'll fail. And then I'll get you. Remember that.“

After Davis created an army, a new war began.

There are many epic stories to tell. We'll have one.

Chapter One:
The sun shined over the forest and the birds sang their melodies when a little group of bandits walked to a near city. Suddenly they heared someone running in their direction. „Wait, what's that?“
Then Davis came out of the forest.

Chapter two:
When they arrived, the village was completely silent. Even the birds didn't sing. Having misgivings they slowing walked down the streets straight to the market. They were shocked by what they saw there. Everybody was lying on the grounds, as if they were suddenly frozen in their movement and smashed to the ground.
Not believing what they saw they did some insecure steps forward. Then they heard a low voice saying “freeze...”
Deep tried to raise his head. Immediately they ran to him.
“Deep, what happened here?”
“We were assaulted. Justins came here attacking us out of the blue. We couldn't defend us fast enough.”
“Justins? But they all were banned when we defeated Julian. Who has the power to resurrect them?.”
Deep first said nothing. Then he said:” You maybe won't believe me, but I saw Davis fighting on their side, commanding them.”
“Davis... You're right, I wouldn't believe you if he hadn't attacked us also. Nevertheless I can't understand why he became such evil.”
“There's only one way to find it out.” Bandit stood up and turned around.” We have to find and to stop him. Come on.”
Bandit went away, followed by freeze propping Deep. Freeze just shook his head and mumbled “Davis...”.


Chapter three:
The sun was already going down when they reached the end of the forest.
“I think it's time to rest.” said Freeze. All of them fell to the ground immediately.
Watching the last sunbeams, one after the other felt asleep.

A breaking knot roused Bandit from his sleep.
He tried to find out what caused the noise, but it was too dark to see anything. There. An energy ball. But... That couldn't be. John? He carefully went over to where he saw the light when he was knocked out by a fist from behind.
Freeze slept a bit away from the others because of watching the sun go down and thinking about Davis. So he didn't wake up before the fight begun. He immediately ran to the others. He fell over stones and knots, but that didn't matter. Anyway he was too late. The last thing he could see were his friends and a group of Justins teleporting away.” John.”, he said, shaking his head.
He knew the only way to rescue them was fighting his way to the forbidden tower and defeating Davis.

Chapter four:
With the first sunbeams, Deep woke up. The first thing he noticed was Bandit lying next to him, still sleeping.
The next thing was that he was tied up. Out of the corner of his eye he could see a Justin and a sorcerer discussing.
“So, if I understand you right, you want us to bring the convicts to John? Because you think he'll be better in interrogating them?”, the Justin asked.
“I'm not only thinking. It was the order of master John to bring the convicts to him as soon as we got them.”
“ So may I call your attention to the fact that Davis is our master and John just one of his servant. And not even the strongest. Why should we, the demons of the dark world accept only one of his orders?”
“What are you talking about? I'll tell master John about your behaviour.”
“If you get the chance. Maybe I will kill you right here. Just to prevent... differences.”
“You try to threaten me? I would think about that.”
“Maybe I'm just to lazy to think about someone useless like you.”
They went on talking more and more aggressive, but deep became bored and stopped listening to them. However he watched much more concentrated a shadow sneaking through the wood. It went around the hole troop and stopped right behind the arguing Justin and sorcerer. If they were a bit angrier.
“Hey, shouldn't you take us to the castle. I mean, it would be bad if we escaped.”
“Don't fear. This won't happen.”
“I only wanted to say... With fellows like the Justins.”
“WHAT? You should better start to pray.”
“Oh, sorry, maybe I'm wrong. You are incompetent, but at least no renegades like the sorcerers.”
“why don't we just kill that person? One is enough, isn't it?”
“No, it isn't. Our order was to capture three convicts. But you let the last one escape. Maybe he's right. You could be renegades.”
“So now you demons that haven't even got a life blame us to be renegades? You'll pay for that.”

The Reaper sat on a stone and watched the fight starting. He took out a few hourglasses and sighed. A fight was pretty boring if you already know the ending. And if that wasn't enough, it was a fight with undeads. He hated undeads. Everytime he wants to guard one of them to the next world they said:”Oh, nice to see you again.” and “ No problem, I already know the way.” Some of them also asked for a bonus like “go to the next world ten times – get a coupon for xyz”(sorry, I don't advertise). Well, he couldn't get rid of the job.

Chapter five:
Suddenly Rudolf broke out of the forest coming over them without any warning.( why should he?).
The dark soldiers were too surprised to defend themselves. Soon Rudolf fought his way to Bandit and Deep cutting their ankles with a fast swordstrike.
They both jumped up at once starting to fight. With his first strike Deep cut the heads of two Justins off while Rudolf already had killed most of the sorcerers. It was easy for them to make the other ones give up.
“So now go away. If I you want to, tell your master that you have failed. Just don't try to waylay us. It wouldn't be a good idea.”
The remaining soldiers seemed to have understood what he wanted to say. At least they ran away quite fast.
After that they stood there, just watching them leave until Deep started to speak.
“So you are still living?”
“It isn't thanks to you. I can still see you leaving me alone against Bat.”
“Yes, I know. And I am very sorry for that. I know it doesn't help you, but it's troubling me till today. You aren't the only one who can remember that day very good.”
“Well, I haven't forgiven you, but in the moment there are more important things than blaming the others. Let's go to the forbidden tower.”

Oh my god, by now many of you will know how the story will end... well, doesn't matter. But maybe there will a big explosion and everyone will die mwahahaha... But maybe not and you probably know whats happening then

Chapter six:
Freeze was running through the forest. The countryside around him changed and changed, but he didn't stop. It was the only way to avoid imagining what could happen to Deep and Bandit in the forbidden tower.
At the end of the day, Freeze reached the tower. Its dark walls ruled the vicinity like Davis tried to rue the world. No one could be happy or exuberant here. It was frightening.
He walked through the door, carefully paying attention to not making any noises. The first room he entered was like he remembered it. Red carpets, torches throwing ghostly shadows on the wall and this heroic music.
But the next room was completely different. The carpet was dark, the torches were replaced by candles and the music... There wasn't any music at all. It was completely silent. What was fighting against an evil, megalomaniac demon without heroic music?
But anyway he had to go on. The room seemed to be empty, so he stepped in. when he reached the middle of the room he heared a voice coming from behind him.
“You are searching for some friends of yours, aren't you? Well, you won't find them here. But you will find another thing. Your death.”
“John. Do you think I won't remember that voice? Noe come out. I don't want to talk with the shadows.”
John came out of the shadows.
“It was very foolish from you to come here. What are you expecting? Defeating me? Alone?
Freeze, I thought you were more intelligent.”
“John, what happened with you? How can it be that you joined the evil side?”
Before John could answer, a big explosion destroyed the world.
(There you have it. All your theories are rubbish. Well, they were rubbish if the last line really happened.)
OK, lets go on:
“Isn't that obvious? To get enormous power. Enough power to change the world.”
“You won't change the world with evil power. You will destroy it. Stop this madness.”
“How can you be so blind? Believe me, I don't like killing you, but there is no other way.”
John suddenly jumped forward, but Freeze was prepared. He created an icicle freezing John.
However he underestimated Johns power. Summoning four energy discs he destroyed his icy cage.
Freeze, completely surprised, couldn't get out of the way.
“Luck.”, he said “ you won't trick me like this again.”
He drew his ice sword and jumped forward. John threw a ball, but Freeze just pushed it out of his way. The only thing John could do was creating a shield to have a few seconds to rest.
They stood next to each other, heavily breathing. Only the shield divided them.
“The evil power mus have confused your mind. Otherwise you wouldn't have forgotten what I can do.”
“John eyes were widening, but it was to late. Freeze created a whirlwind,while he jumped over the shield swinging his sword. Then the fight ended.
John was lying on the ground, looking up to Freeze. Panic was in his eyes.
“No you can't kill me, I won't lose.”
“You've already lost. But I don't want to kill you. I want you to think about what you've done and to help us fighting against Davis.”
Suddenly wind came up although there were no windows.
“Mwahaha, you fool. You could have killed me, but now it's too late. Davis is here. Enjoy your last minutes.”
The silhouette of a man with wings on his back and a long sword stood at the end of the room.
“Now kill him, my master.”
“No” a deep voice said from the shadows. “I have more important things to do then killing a little fighter( caution, stupid joke). But I'll kill you. You really disappointed my.”
“But... what... wait...NO!” was the last thing he could say, then his body vanished into air.

Chapter seven:
Suddenly an army of sorcerers turned up from behind. Their staffs were glowing.
“Wait!” Freeze screamed.” Why do you want to kill me?”
“Because you are fighting against the dark lord. Anyone who fights against...”
“the dark lord must die. Yes, I already know. But why? He killed John, the man you once believed in.”
“We can't know to where his ways lead. We aren't dignified to doubt what he says. His word is the rule. How can we doubt what he says?”
“So thats what happened to you? Your leader gets killed and everything you say is “We can't judge about it.”? That is what your once so proud order became? I can't believe it... Your just a couple of cabbages waiting for being beheaded. Have you lost your ability to think for yourself? What happened to your ideals?”
“Well, kill me then. What am I expecting in a world like this? Where nobody trusts his own mind? Where the mans you thought of as friends destroy everything you wants fought for?”
“What are you waiting for? Kill me and then watch this world going down.”
(O my god, so theatrical. But its funny to write something like that. *atmosphere destroying*)
The sorcerers looked uncertain. Everyone waited for somebody to say something. It was strange for them not to have a leader.
Then after some time one of them took a few steps forward and said:
“Stand up, Freeze. I don't know what happened and I don't know how to excuse, but you opened our eyes. I have no idea how this could happen, but we will do our best to compensate our mistakes.
Come on, to the throne hall.”

So now we still need the standard ending. Here it is:

While Freeze convinced the sorcerers, Rudolf, Bandit and Deep already entered the throne hall. And there he was. Davis stood directly in front of them. But something changed. His eyes taxed them with hate and dark flames were burning in them.
He didn't seem like wanting to speak with them. All of the sudden he attacked Rudolf. In the last moment he was able to get out of the way. The fighters tried to attack him, but a big explosion pushed them away.
“Mwahaha. How do you want to kill me? You can't even get near to me.”
“Are you sure?”, Deep said, “I bet we can.”
They looked each other into the eye, but nobody showed any kind of movement. Suddenly Rudolf came form behind. Davis just created a shield around him and Rudolf flew back.
“Fools. Why are you still trying? You can't beat me.”
He turned to Deep again.
“You all are just annoying me. Now die.”
A dark ball came nearer and nearer to Deep. He looked into it. It was completely dark. The darkness became bigger and bigger, darker and darker until it filled the whole world. He used his last seconds to admire it and waited for the explosion... as Rudolf jumped in front of him. Suddenly the world came back and he saw Rudolf sinking down. As fast as he could he ran to him.
“So whats now? Got we quits now?” was the last thing he could say.
With a scream Deep stood up and ran to Davis. However Davis just stood there, waiting. A few inches in front of his head, deep's sword broke.
“Haven't you understood yet? You can't beat me. See it as a change to get to know the next world. Now...”
Then the wall next to Davis burst. Behind it an army of sorcerers appeared, with Freeze in front of them.
The last thing they saw from Davis was a dark flame rising to the air, then his dead body lied on the ground.
As soon as possible they left the castle.
For those you don't like it when the good ones are dying: Rudolf is still alive.
Epilogue:
One night in the forbidden castle. Candles threw the only lights sporadically on the walls when a deep shadow approached Davis' dead body. Two scary blue eyes in a dark cape looked down to the body. „Well Davis, didn't I said to you that...”
“Wait. I won't make the same mistake again.”
“Two dark, thin hands with long fingers closed the book.
The man reading looked up and the children could look into two scary blue eyes.
“So what does this story tells us? That people fighting for something good will always defeat the evil one's. And that there will always be a happy end.”
“But don't believe in that. Sooner or later, I'll get everyone. Mwhahaha.”
And the reaper disappeared. But didn't he said that there are many stories to tell? Maybe he will come back one time. After he finished himself as a LF2-char.
