This forum is one of the most active LF2 English forums, and so we would like to ensure the quality of its content (posts). Please do not post things like:

• How do I make my own character
  
• How do I sprite
  
• How do I DC
  
• etc.
  

All of these (the basics) are explained either on the [Mainsite], or in [tutorials]. If you are having problems or do not understand something that is posted, then have a proper think through, and if it still does not clear up, post.

Please note that Spriting is not learnt through posts, it is learnt from practice practice practice.

Also, please make sure the titles of your threads are meaningful, so instead of "help me", have it (for example) "itr kind 3" or "catching" if your catching DC isn't working.

One more thing, please ensure that you have [searched] before posting, as your question may have already been answered.

For not-so-new members (Click to View)

A number of you are too critical and insult people too soon, like calling them a noob (either explicitly or implicitly, through text or graphics), and then later on saying "sorry", but you're not. If you really are, you wouldn't call them a "noob" in the first place. otherwise that makes you the noob. You know who you are.

Before you criticize someone, think of these:

• Is it a genuine plea for help?
  
• How young could the poster be?
  
• Are you just insulting them for the sake of "enforcing the rules", which ironically you may yourself be breaking (spam insulting posts)
  
• Weren't you once like that? (course you were). How did the older forum members treat you? Can you do better?
  

You may well be chasing someone away from the community with your insults, and we may lose a potential "good" guy.

On another note, the posts that you people are making sometimes are meaningless as well - you post in such a way that makes it borderline to spam, such that nothing useful is added, but it's not "useless" enough to be sent to disposal. This is very annoying for readers who like a certain standard in what they read (it's like reading "Mary had a little lamb. I like the lamb", "I like the lamb too, because it's small", "I like the lamb coz it's white"). Don't you see these are meaningless and just waste time and space?

Also, don't post if someone has already answered the question clearly. Your post just repeats the same thing. The same applies for the constant "Mainsite search first!"-posts. I think we have read this often enough, just don't repeat it anymore, okay?
