heh i didn know about the ctrl+home/end okay
well ctrl+f opens the find dialog - and then you can click the button to expand it to the replace dialog
i would like ctrl+r to open the replace one right away
edit: might include stuff already fixed/mentioned - i wrote this earlier
now finally for what i really think about it
first of all loading and handling is really nice - it truly is fast - fast enough for me not to notice that it loads anything or takes time on syntax folding search or replacing
which is another excellent part because this is what im missing on azriels:
Ctrl+F '> 111' Enter - Ctrl+F 'c: 123' Enter - Ctrl+F '_j: 262' Enter - Ctrl+F 'mp: 150' Enter
this is how i usually get around as i know my data/frames/pictures
and its pretty fast using only a few keys - not having to tab around in lots of different options which may be usefull but should not be getting in the way of easily finding something (so uh- good copying of mondilano there :p)
but as ive already mentioned i was a bit confused when ctrl+r didnt react - and having to click through from ctrl+f is a nice option you should keep - but opening it right away should be possible too
now im not a fan of that oh so easy and simple gui - especially because it has many more buttons than actually required - you can have *.txt and *.dat filetypes in one single open and save(as) dialog (i would suggest you to offer *.dat *.txt and *.* all filetypes)
as ive already mentioned the txt issue also shouldn disrupt the common cut copy and paste shortcuts
i prefer classic menus at the top
the folding - is super usefull for hiding all those already finished/cleaned/finetuned frames
i will probably not be using it for the tags within a frame because i often write them in one line each anyway
one thing i gotta nag about tho is that once i have that pile of frames/stages/phases closed i wont be able to tell what they are anymore
they all just read +Frame ...
sure i can open one and then try to count/estimate - or just open more
but maybe it would be better if it reads
+Frame 110 Defend ...
or +Layer wall.bmp ...
or +Stage 2-6 ...
or +Phase 1800 ...
not sure whether thatll be hard to do with that syntaxbox you got
apart from the fact that you are missing some syntax tags some other things seem a bit weird to me too
first of all the fact that you are highlighting the whole of 'file(1-2):' instead of just 'file' as im used to
then having the whole <frame> line highlighted blue - including number and name (i think only things between < > should be blue)
and the fact that most of your syntax highlighting is dependant on where the tag is placed - may be useful instantly seeing whether your code is right - but i can imagine somewhen using a tag in an unusual place where it does work but isnt highlighted
nothing dramatic - might irritate me forever tho
