I'd love to use this somewhere in a char or a mod.. maybe as a summon move.. but animating the cloth is gonna kill me. (Or maybe a full flying char ala Aeron or Ether).

In my eyes a summon move is much easier to sprite than a whole char.

Oh, and I guess they don't comment on yours because it isn't that easy to find "mistakes" in it. Like Apoc said: "I just didn't commented on it as I'm quite lazy". Thats probably the reason for many of us. Its just much easier to give critics to a not-that-good sprite + it might really help those people to improve. I don't know how I should help you to improve
But to make you happy, I think that( if I understand the direction of the sword right) it seems to be enlightened from the bottom-left corner while the rest is enlightened from the top-right corner. Of course light could fall on that part of the sword, too, but then the now dark parts should probably be lighter.
And this belt... Is there a reason why it has a dark outline?
Well, now that I already posted I feel like I have to show a sprite, too. As you can see its a scary werewolf which sadly doesn't look that scary. I made it on two backgrounds because the shading is strange for those dark colours. Hope you can see it good.

Maybe one of the good spriters is now encouraged to do one, too. I would really like to see that.
