Half of the water in the Ancient Lake remained after the huge ball that claimed King Nostro’s life exploded. Cen, Alec, Mailliw, Philus, and Long were out cold. Only Sonidow, Drahcir, Kira, and Simoneon remained standing. Simoneon went to protect Kira while Sonidow and Drahcir stood in front of a large cloud of purple smoke…waiting.
A large shadow began forming in the smoke and glowing red eyes opened near the head of the shadow. Drahcir looked at Sonidow who stood firm looking at the shadow without fear. After seeing Sonidow’s resolve, he himself was encouraged in strength. Then without warning, the smoke quickly spiraled and finally dispensed showing the true form behind the shadows. Julian!
Seeing the devilish warlord who was supposed to have died years ago began to shake the two up. It was Hell getting this far. But now they faced the one whose power greatly overwhelmed those of Nostro’s. His mere presence sent shivers down Drahcir’s spine. Sonidow himself was uneasy. The next words the dark being spoke struck a stronger sense of fear into the two. Simoneon and Kira could only watch now and hope for the best.
“So you are the ones who have been causing my legions so much trouble.”
“It ends here.” Sonidow swiftly replied with Drahcir nodding his head in approval.
“You honestly think you can defeat me?” Julian said with a voice so deep and demented. “Look at you all. It took all of you to take down Nostro. What do you think your chances are of defeating me?”
“It doesn’t matter,” Drahcir said, “even if its .001 percent, we will still defeat you.”
“For someone from a more highly technological world,” Julian began taking two steps forward, “your logic is heavily flawed. I could kill you in an instant if I wanted to.”
Drahcir drew his beamsword. “Then why don’t you do it?”
Sonidow was stunned by Drahcir’s courage. But he thought of it as mere foolish bravery. However he thought the same way for himself. He really didn’t care what happened as he felt that they were about to all die soon.
Drahcir turned and looked at Sonidow, who drew both of his swords. Sonidow turned and looked at Drahcir. They both turned and looked at Julian. The devil warlord smirked under his mask.
“Come then.”
Sonidow and Drahcir charged at the warlord and suddenly a large dome of light came and separated them all from the fight…and each other.

Eyes opened.
They looked around to see an unfamiliar setting. Drahcir rose up and looked around. He realized that he was in a room of some sort and had no idea where everyone else was or what had happened. He looked forward and saw an opening that showed the sun rising over the sea in the distance. Suddenly a figure came in front of the opening and looked at him. To Drahcir, the figured looked like the redheaded man from before. But this man’s hair was…orange and he quickly noticed on his finger…he was wearing an unusual ring….

Escape is a two-syllable word that grants temporary peace in the present to a future victim.
