It felt like Drahcir and Sonidow were running around for hours. They just couldn’t seem to find a way out of this dungeon-like prison. As they were going through every possible route, Drahcir began to notice something strange in Sonidow’s actions. He was looking down a lot more. He started to ask him about it but then realized that it might not be a good idea.
They came to a stop and found an open area with two different routes. Drahcir asked Sonidow, “Hmm, which one should we take?”
Sonidow didn’t respond as he was still looking down.
“Sonidow?”
There was still no response. Drahcir was aggravated at his silence and proceeded with grabbing him by his collar. He smacked him across his face once.
“HEY, WAKE UP! This is no time to be day-dreaming!”
Sonidow was infuriated so he grabbed both of Drahcir’s hands and flung him into the prison wall. Drahcir smashed into it, back first, and fell to the ground.
“Who the Hell do you think you are?!” Sonidow shouted. “Don’t you ever touch me again, got it?!”
“I had to wake you up somehow,” Drahcir responded getting up slowly. “I don’t know what happened, but you need to snap out of it. Looking down isn’t going to get us out of here!”
Sonidow was silent for the moment but his anger radiated off his body. He began calming down, slowly but surely. Drahcir rose up and, looking at the two routes again, he asked. “So what are we going to do about this?”
“What do you think?” Sonidow asked in an obvious manner. “You take the right, I’ll take the left and, hopefully, we will see each other on the other side.”
Drahcir lowered his eyes, “I could’ve thought of that.”
Sonidow walked ahead but Drahcir stopped him, “Hey wait!”
“What is it?” Sonidow turned with some rising frustration in his voice.
“What exactly did…?”
“We’ll talk about it on the other side, Drahcir. Now move your a** or get left behind.” Sonidow said.
Drahcir’s face began swelling up with anger. But he let it go as his partner disappeared into the darkness of the left route. He became silent, gulped, and proceeded with the second route.

Dark clouds began overlaying the sun and small traces of lightning permeated throughout the skies. The redheaded man stood outside on top of a strange building looking at the luminous ring that graced his right finger. He began to test his power on the first thing he saw. He looked below at the forest several miles away. Producing a small ball of energy, he shot it at the forest and immediately, the ENTIRE forest went up in flames. The man was so shocked and surprised that it scared him. But it quickly turned into a strange sense of happiness. He was no longer the weak human that he used to be.
The sensation of power overwhelmed him to the point where he rose into the sky and began to take off destroying anything that caught his interest. In the process, he was laughing hysterically and his eyes turned into a dark purple.

In a dark abyss, far away from everything, a being was sitting in meditation, waiting patiently. A dome of red and purple energy surrounded him preventing him from moving until the time would arise. Lighting streaked across the sky above, and this forced this being’s eyes to open slightly. They were also purple, but getting closer, they began changing red. He smirked and chuckled slightly. Lightning continued to overwhelm the skies and rain began to pour. Out of nowhere, a legion of demons began flying east…

Escape is a two-syllable word that grants temporary peace in the present to a future victim.
