OOC: I hope I didn't screw up with painting Daymio's personality. But that is how I think of him.
They all tensely watched the body of Noir in front of them, stunned. No one knew what to do. On the right-hand side Cen noticed Daymio, intently looking at Noir like they did.
Noir, or Julian he corrected himself, was motionless looking down. Suddenly he began to laugh, first with a low voice, then getting louder and louder. He slowly rose his head, looking at them with two deep purple eyes. Flames were burning in them, showing pure evilness.
“Thank you Noir. With your help I will finally enslave this world.”
He looked at the group standing in front of him.
“Noble as I am, I will leave you alive. Use your last days in freedom wise.”
Saying this Julian suddenly disappeared. Nothing indicated that he had been there just a few seconds ago. Slowly the fighters began to realize what had happened. Julian had taken Noir's body and with it the might in his veins, now becoming invincible. Was this the end?
After some time they began to think clear again. There had to be a way to defeat Julian. And they would find it. What else could they do? As their thoughts began to circle, Philus headed to Daymio who was about to leave.
“Wait!”
Daymio prepared for a fight, but Philus didn't even attempted to get ready for it.
“I don't want to fight you. I want to ask you a question.”
Still watching every single movement of Philus carefully, Daymio began to relax.
“Look, I don't want to kill you. But I am interested in knowing why you don't want to be a vampire anymore.”
“Why? Because the light of the sun jails me into caves and houses. Because everywhere I go people look at me as if I came directly from hell. They kill us because we are different. But now the situation has twisted. Now I am killing them.”
“So you are fighting madness with madness.”
“Call it like you want, revenge... rationality... madness. But they don't deserve any better fate.”
Philus looked at him with something like mercy in his eyes. In front of him stood a murder, but what he saw was a man who had never seen the good sides of life and wasn't able to show them to anyone.
“Not every human is like that.”
Daymio said nothing.
“So why do you want to become a human?”
“Sometimes... Sometimes I think things could be different. Sometimes I think I could stop this madness by just getting out of its range. By living a normal life. I don't know if it really is like that. But I want to try it. For what else could I fight?”
Before Philus could reply anything, Mailliw intervened.
“I'm sorry to disrupt you, but could there be time for that later? For now we have to find a way to kill Julian.”
“Well, seemingly we have the same enemy now. Will you help us defeating Julian, Daymio?”
Daymio nodded resolutely.
“Let's go.”
