Guess I got a bit star crazy... happens...

Anyway, here are some old short stories about vampires and werewolves I'd written about a year ago. These are fictional stories compiled using events from the online browser game "BiteFight". It's a rather stiff browser game about vampires and werewolves, but it does inspire certain stories. I used to play as a werewolf but, as you'll see in the story, did not consider myself one. I stopped progressing it mainly because there were more events then I had time to write stories for, thus it all stopped being the one thing it was mainly supposed to be - fun. Though unfinished, I decided to post it here anyway... It still amazes me how fast I though up these texts, just seconds after the event had happened!

There is some mild violence, but nothing to get worried about. Besides, these ARE stories about the creatures of the night. Every entry I've written has been inspired by a certain event during the game. I also mentioned the events (lost, won, buddy request or just read the character description) and the players who caused them. Oh, the entries are sorted by coded date and time (example: "Entry 200802171845" once decoded means: "Entry 2008.02.17-18:45" ). Thought it was more interesting that way. 8)

Legatee’s reminiscence

I still remember the blue light as we passed through it. It was like walking into a cold sea and still being able to breathe, to feel the wind. That was the last thing any of us felt before leaving our home forever. Through our cognition of mystical energies and our knowledge of the stars we were able to accomplish something many can only dream about: to travel between worlds. Maybe there really wasn’t any way to stop the implosion, save our home planet from inevitable destruction. The Stones of Energies, a sacred place of grand power was our only chance for salvation. The elders managed to open a portal just in the nick of time for everyone to pass through. Alas, all our efforts were in vain as the entrance started to collapse. With the starting point gone we lost all orientation and were left to wander the vast emptiness between time and space, never to find a way out. And yet, somehow I’ve managed to end up here, all alone with no allusion how it happened…

These others, the ones that inherit this world are nothing like us. They may possess fangs and claws, but their morality is nowhere near our level. Killing at random, they do not show any mercy to those they hunt. The hatreds just keep rendering, with no sympathies whatsoever. Hatred? An emotion my kin never knew. Now it has been seeded into me like an everlasting plague, torturing me whenever I feel it. For the sake of the lost ones I had to face this new reality, learn its horrid ways in order to survive. With dislike I’ve studied this carnage, and so I’m doing all in my power to keep the hatred locked away as deep as possible. Hope that the others will find their way out of oblivion is strong enough to keep me going on my quest. Now I seek those willing to leave this cruel world behind so as to help them find placidity. Only then can they unite and rebuild the reality that they never knew… only then can they become a Mavulise… only then can they find true peace…

I’m the only legatee to the old ways, the last of my kind - the last of the ancients. Now I wander this vast new world searching for those lost in hatred. Beware creatures of the darkness, because I have learned your ways well. I will not follow you into the abyss, yet will fight till the very end if needed…
