I prefer some stats up there. Possible ideas to fill up that space:
- Attack/Kill/HP-Lost-counter. Something like the real-time version of the stats showing up after a fight. In a smaller form, ofc.
- Boss HP. If multiple bosses, there need to be multiple lines, one for each boss (assuming that you don't have to fight like 5k bosses at the same time)
- Random info. "Kill <IDxyz.name> to advance." - "<INT> opponents left (x on screen, y in reserve)" - "xy:zt mins played" - whatever
Personal favorite is the solution YinYin mentioned in post #1.
