just need to do something like
    JAVA-Code:
String path = dataFile.getAbsolutePath();
path = path.substring(0,path.lastIndexOf('\',path.lastIndexOf('\'))) + "\\sprite\\sys\\" + spriteName

(twice lastIndexOf thing just to move up directory)

Azriel~

i would prefer something like this instead of hardcoding the path or no proper path at all ...
    JAVA-Code:
String path = dataFile.getAbsolutePath();
path = path.substring(0,path.lastIndexOf('\',path.lastIndexOf('\'))) + spritePathandName

seriously - read what the dat file tells you to read

and i mean lazy as in managing downloads - not creating this feature :p
i dont think that your dcer forcing ppl to have the files in one folder to make the wannabe framemaker work will get everyone to organize their stuff the way you want it

I know I'm reaaaaaally lazy, and I didn't even bother updating the w/es (history etc.), but if u've got v0.5c running well, just download [this] (yes i know it still says 0.5c but it's 0.5d; 0.5c is renamed to 1DWv0.5c.rar). this is DWv0.5c.jar, so replace it in the app folder.

what's new:
- different coloured itr areas for different itr kinds
- loads sprites from up 2 folders + follow sprite path, or same folder (first has priority), so if u open deep.dat in the lf2 data folder, it will automatically go look for the sprites in sprites/sys.

I have not added a frame search button. haven't done that kinda logic work.

btw: look at henry's D^J frames. it's quite pretty =D

Hi Azriel,

Is it too much to request a locator for 'Opoint', 'Cpoint', and 'Wpoint'? I often rely on the Data Workstation to locate my 'Itr' and 'Bdys', but I have always still have to guess the 'Opoint', 'Wpoint', 'Cpoint'.

I would really appreciate it if you could include those features, that is if they are not too much work for you :D.

As for the frame search button, I'm pretty sure the way Jiquera did it was tack on a '<frame> ' tag to the entered number, and then run a regular text search :D.

EDIT: The Download Link doesn't work. Please fix it.

Thanks in Advance, and Good Luck....

Ctrl + F find works (i guess people still want the firefox type of search thing), but not replace (i haven't got time to fix it, don't ask). why not use that instead? it's been there for the past few versions.

clicking xpoints are way beyond the time i can spare for them (for now). I haven't even got the things rendered properly (how would you do opoints? you'd need to link 2 files + their sprites so it won't be that easy). at least, The only updates I can do on this are ones that use the sourcecode for hero quest as well (I need stuff for debugging, that's y i did that Itr multi-colour thing). there are plans to do something big for the frame maker, but perhaps not by me. we'll see.

p/s: link's updated (1 letter messed up). u need to launch the app from the "exe" from the prev version with this new jar replacing the old one otherwise sprites won't load.

@Azriel

I didn't mean it like that :D. I meant a simple 'X' or dot at the location of the 'Opoint', 'Cpoint', and 'Wpoint' coordinates (maybe a different colored 'X' for each feature).
