Now I have shaded the teeth slightly and neck a bit more shaded now, too. What's more important; is the hair so far good looking or shouldI change technique?

Original lf2 characters have the lines also in their hair. So, I wouldn't over-paint it. The highlights should be almost in the middle of the "spikes", and the shadows at the outer parts.
The face shading is good, though :)
